Central Cascades wilderness permits will be available starting April 6.
How to Get Your Permit
Go to the Central Cascades Wilderness Permits Page
Select your desired trailhead and entry date:
Trailhead: PCT Irish Taylor (Example Entry)
Select each day/night you want to be in the area. I estimated 5 days, even if it would only take me 4 days.
Pay the reservation processing fee (around $6 USD)
Print your permit and carry it with you on your hike.
Washington Permits
North Cascades National Park backcountry permits will be available starting April 29.
How to Get Your Permit
Go to the North Cascades National Park Backcountry Permits
Select your desired trailhead and entry date:
Trailhead:
Entry: Agnes Creek (PCT) Trailhead-Stehekin Rd
Exit: Bridge Creek (PCT) Trail- SR 20
Select each day/night you want to be in the area.
You will only be in this permit area for one day; the other areas do not require a permit.
I don't plan to camp at the campgrounds in the area, so there is no need to reserve a campsite.
Pay the reservation processing fee (around $6 USD)
Print your permit and carry it with you on your hike.
Canada PCT Entry Permits
As of January 31, 2025, the Canada Border Services Agency has discontinued their Pacific Crest Trail permit program.
Crossing the U.S./Canada border on the Pacific Crest Trail is prohibited (including for Canadian citizens.)
